Feeling under the weather lately? Why not try a cup of Lemon, Ginger and Honey drink! This homemade concoction is famously known to help alleviate cold or flu symptoms, allowing you to get back on your feet in a jiffy!
Lemon is high in vitamin C, which helps keep your immune system strong, whereas ginger helps remove toxin from the body. Lastly, Manuka Honey has properties that is effective in fighting infections. Also, the honey’s sweet flavor helps neutralize the stronger flavor of ginger and lemon, making this remedy much more enjoyable.
What you need
1 large piece of fresh ginger
300ml of Manuka Honey
A container (large enough to hold all the ingredients)
- Thinly slice the lemon and ginger, placing the pieces into a container
- Pour the honey into the container, and allow it to infuse with the lemon and ginger
- Store it in the fridge for a few hours till the texture becomes jelly-like
- Take 2 tablespoon of the mixture and mix it with hot water
What’s more, this all- natural remedy can be kept in the fridge for about three months, so you needn’t make a new batch whenever a flu bug hits you.
